David Yarrows (1966 in Glasgow) atmosphärische und eindringliche Darstellungsweise des Lebens auf der Erde ist international unverkennbar. Mit diesem Alleinstellungsmerkmal auf dem weltweiten Kunstmarkt zählt er zu den meistgefragten Künstlern unter Kunstsammlern im Bereich der zeitgenössischen Fotokunst.

David Yarrow
David Yarrow (*1966 in Glasgow) begann bereits in frühen Jahren mit der Fotografie. Mit 20 Jahren war er für die The London Times tätig und machte nach dem Finale der FIFA Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft in Mexiko das weltbekannte Porträt von Diego Maradona. Anschließend bereiste er als Fotojournalist viele Sportereignisse auf der ganzen Welt, bis er sich als Fotokünstler etablieren konnte. Sein Fokus lag von Beginn an auf der Darstellung der Welt der Natur mit einer bis dato künstlerisch neuartigen Bildsprache. Diese Ästhetik kennzeichnet bis heute Yarrows Schaffenswerk. Seine Arbeiten sind in international renommierten Museen sowie in öffentlichen und privaten Sammlungen vertreten. Seine Fotografien sind in exklusiven Editionen erhältlich und werden sowohl auf dem primären als auch auf dem sekundären Kunstmarkt sehr geschätzt. Berühmt ist der Künstler auch für seine Kooperationen – unter anderem mit Supermodels wie Cindy Crawford, Alessandra Ambrosio und Cara Delevigne, mit denen er häufig an gemeinsamen künstlerischen Projekten arbeitet.
Philanthropie ist ein wichtiger Teil der Arbeit von David Yarrow. Seit 2018 hat der Künstler mehr als 15 Millionen US-Dollar für Wohltätigkeits- und Naturschutzorganisationen gesammelt – darunter in Zusammenarbeit mit Cindy Crawford 3 Millionen US-Dollar für die UW Health Kids Cancer Care Charity und 1,4 Millionen US-Dollar für die #KoalaComeback-Kampagne zur Unterstützung der Wiederaufbaumaßnahmen nach den Waldbränden in Australien. Nach dem Ausbruch von COVID-19 half er, über 1 Million Pfund für den NHS zu sammeln. David Yarrow ist außerdem Botschafter für verschiedene Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen, darunter The African Community and Conservation Foundation, Tusk, WildArk, The Kevin Richardson Foundation und Best Buddies.
