From July 11 to August 29, 2026 CAMERA WORK Gallery presents an exhibition of 30 selected works by Michel Comte. These offer a curated insight into the photographic work of one of the most influential photographers of the visual zeitgeist of the late 20th century.
Michel Comte’s work documents an era of unfiltered vision, still untouched by artificial image manipulation. With bold contrasts in his lighting, the artist created world-famous photographs throughout the 1980s and 1990s that capture the essence of their subjects with raw honesty. The exhibition brings together some of his most defining images from those decades.
The exhibition has been curated with vintage prints in the CAMERA WORK collection and edition works by ÉDITIONS COMTE.
