Art is also a mirror of social developments, and so the Scottish photo artist Rankin was like many others at the beginning of the pandemic: projects had to be postponed or could not be implemented, a deceleration of everyday life occurred. Therefore, Rankin returned to the essentials: nature. His models in this case were not supermodels, but probably of equal beauty. Completely without his extensive team, the photo artist in self-isolation staged flowers in a manifold and unconventional way and created works of unique grace, strength, and confidence with the series »Embrace« and »An Exploding World«.
