The exhibition examines the impact of American painter Edward Hopper (1882 – 1967) on photographic art. With more than 25 selected masterworks by ten artists, the exhibition pursues the question, how the leading exponent of American Realism inspired classic and contemporary photographic artists. Main pictorial themes and artistic characteristics of Hopper’s art can be also found in photographic series by artists such as Camilla Akrans, Albert Watson, Eugenio Recuenco, Yoram Roth, and David Drebin.
