On the occasion of the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the exhibition »Olympic Icons« shows an incomparable selection of famous Olympic atheletes in history. In classic works, comprehensive staged sceneries, and documental photographs, »Olympic Icons« features famed portraits of, amongst others, Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Usain Bolt, Katarina Witt, Carl Lewis, Kobe Bryant, Serena Williams, Mike Tyson, Magic Johnson, Roger Federer, Shaun White, Lindsey Vonn, and Jesse Owens. Among the more than 50 exhibited artworks, there are famous and previously unreleased photographs by Michel Comte, Albert Watson, Anton Corbijn, Thomas Billhardt, Ralph Mecke, Anderson & Low, Pete Souza, Martin Schoeller, Leni Riefenstahl, Neil Leifer, Nadav Kander, Steve Schapiro, Herb Ritts, and many more.
