The exhibition »Moods of the Sea I« presents 17 selected photographs by artists who explore the visual theme »sea« in their works. The different artistic approaches show what an important role the sea has played in classical and contemporary photography: from the ocean’s imagery and aesthetic grandeur to the depiction of the sea as a pictorial metaphor for man’s way of life up to its artistic function for the protection of the habitat.
