Ruud van Empel is internationally known for his hyperrealistic collage works and his distinctive artistic style. Each of his final pieces is meticulously crafted from thousands of his own photographs, resulting in the creation of new, autonomous realities. His works are showcased in museums and prestigious art institutions worldwide and are part of numerous distinguished collections, including the George Eastman House in New York, the MoPA Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, the Groninger Museum in Groningen, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, and the Elton John Collection.
