The exhibition presents twenty carefully selected works by photographer Neil Leifer. The photographs on view are among the most iconic images in the history of sports photography and stand as exemplary testaments to the life’s work of one of the most influential photojournalists of the 20ᵗʰ century.
Central to the exhibition are Neil Leifer’s photographs of Muhammad Ali, with whom he shared a close friendship over several decades, including the widely acclaimed image capturing Muhammad Ali’s victory over Sonny Liston in 1965. The selection is complemented by further works of sporting and social significance, which eloquently reflect Neil Leifer’s unmistakable visual language and his instinct for the decisive moment.
