To mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Scorsese’s classic film »Taxi Driver«, we are very pleased to present the exhibition «Steve Schapiro: Taxi Driver» at the CAMERA WORK Virtual Gallery, running till August 6.
This exhibition brings together 20 photographs by Steve Schapiro, who served as the set photographer during the film’s production in New York. It pays tribute both to the making of one of the most influential films in cinematic history, and to the work of an artist whose works continue to shape our cultural memory to this day.
