Peter Lindbergh

Peter Lindbergh

Peter Lindbergh (1944–2019) is considered one of the most influential photographic artists of his time and had a decisive impact on the visual culture of the late 20th century. His works are characterized by a minimalist visual language, often rendered in black and white, that emphasizes personality, presence, and authenticity.

At the center of his work is the human being, whom he portrays beyond idealized representations. With his consistent focus on naturalness and expression, he permanently transformed the aesthetics of fashion photography and became a defining influence for subsequent generations of artists.
