Christian Tagliavini · 12.12.2015–27.02.2016

CAMERA WORK is pleased to present the exhibition entitled »Voyages Extraordinaires« by Christian Tagliavini from December 12, 2015. »Voyages Extraordinaires« by Christian Tagliavini is an homage from the artist to a great writer of the 19th century: Jules Verne. Over a working period of 24 months Christian Tagliavini created – in unimaginable manner of passion and love to the photographic art – a series of works, which cites three of the best-known novels of Jules Verne: »A Journey to the Center of the Earth« (1864), »From the Earth to the Moon« (1865) and »20.000 Leagues under the Sea« (1869). In emotional scenes and touching portraits Christian Tagliavini combines his meaningful picture language with the fantastic science-fiction of Jules Verne. The process of development of »VoyagesExtraordinaires« is as fascinating as unique.

After his well-known series »1503« and »Carte«, »Voyages Extraordinaires« is the most comprehensive series by Christian Tagliavini.
