Eugenio Recuenco

Eugenio Recuenco (*Madrid, 1968), a Fine Arts graduate from UCM, is a renowned photographer and crossover artist whose career spans advertising, fashion, set design, and art. Over more than twenty-five years of professional work, he has cultivated a variety of image-related genres, including fashion films, commercial spots, music videos, and, of course, photography. His works have been exhibited at FIT (New York), Deichtorhallen Foundation (Hamburg), Museu del Disseny (Barcelona), Camera Work Gallery (Berlin), among others. In 2007, he was invited to create the Lavazza calendar (which he would participate in again in 2011 and 2021) and designed the set and staging for the opera Les Huguenots at The Fisher Center in NY in the same year.

He has been honored with prominent awards, such as the National Photography Award ABC (2004) for his series ‘Concepción, Parto, Juego y Educación,’ the Golden Lion at Cannes (La Bella Durmiente (Playstation 2005), Bronze at the Ibero-American Festival of Advertising Communication; Bronze at the Ibero-American Advertising Festival, Golden Lion at Cannes (The Little Prince 2013), Award for Best Advertising for ‘Esencia de una Seducción’ (2008), as well as various awards at international film festivals for his short film ‘Manuscrit Trouvé dans l’Oubli’ (2016), based on ‘Los Girasoles Ciegos,’ a book of stories by Alberto Méndez.
